Meet Carmen

interior designer, founder, lover of neutrals and vintage chair enthusiast

Welcome! I'm Carmen, the principal designer, founder, and human behind Carmen Javier Co. For as long as I can remember, I've had a deep-rooted love for expressing myself through design, and drawing out hidden beauty in interior spaces.

I received my Bachelor of Business Administration in 2016, and am currently completing my Interior Design Certificate at Parsons School of Design New York. In 2017, I founded Carmen Javier Co as an interior design blog to document my journey designing my second rental apartment. It was through this creative process that I honed in on my approach to design, and discovered a signature aesthetic that is a true reflection of me. This, along with my earlier years of formal education provide a unique blend of creative, technical, and management skills that lend themselves well to client-facing projects. In the years since, I have been a very lucky gal to continue my design practice in residential and commercial interiors as my full-time passion and career.

Carmen Javier Co officially relaunched as an interior design studio in 2020, providing bespoke interior design and decorating services to clients in Greater Vancouver, and internationally via remote design. We specialize in bringing our signature minimal, curated-cool aesthetic to residential and commercial spaces.

The studio emphasizes clean lines, layered neutrals, natural materials, and a mix of contemporary and vintage as a foundation for spaces that feel effortless yet intentional, current yet timeless.

Minimal, curated-cool spaces that are effortless yet intentional, timeless yet current. We emphasize clean lines, layered neutrals, natural materials, and a mix of contemporary with one-of-kind vintage finds as a foundation for interiors that feel warm, lived-in, and filled with soul.
